Great place for camping but our ac did not work. The camp was secluded and a great getaway
Best small town getaway, only about 2 hours from New Orleans. He lake is great for swimming and boating, plus the water park is a lot of fun! Not too far out of Wiggins.
The sites are great but the restrooms are minimal at best on the cleanliness scale. I honestly felt like complaining but I'm not that kind of person. I'll stick to KOA from now on...
To keep things on a positive note, some of the burners on the stove worked.
It's very easy to find for first time visitors, many camp sites & even has a few small water slides for use during the summer.
My friend that made the reservation read the reviews on this site and when she made the reservations for 2 rustic cabins she specifically requested these particular ones because they were suppose to have the least amount of issues. Like I stated above some of the stove burners worked and some didn't. You could see daylight under both the front door and the back door of one unit but not the unit our friends stayed in. I am not going to list all of the issues like the condition of the cooking utensils. The place was clean and the folks at the entrance were nice but apparently the position of cabin maintenance is going unfilled.
